Shadow puppets (Wayang Kulit) is one of the original culture that makes Indonesian shadow puppets as one characteristic of Indonesia. Shadow puppet-shaped flat, perforated and decorated with elaborate. usually performed behind the scenes puppet made from a wide white cloth. puppet show is always accompanied by a gamelan orchestra and traditionally starts in the evening and last until dawn.

This is art that is very sacred to the culture of Indonesia. often performed to commemorate the event customary in Indonesia, such as circumcision ceremonies, marriages, funerals, religious events. even in the days of old, leather puppets used as a means to spread the religion and the important messages in life.

To maintain the existence of Indonesian culture in the eyes of the world. No doubt more wayang kulit is one hallmark of native Indonesian culture and therefore we as a nation cultivate the next generation of puppet art to exist in the country and abroad.
